The Changan UNI-T is a compact crossover SUV produced by Changan Automobile since 2020. Initially previewed as the Yuyue Concept at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, the production model was set to debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, Changan unveiled the UNI-T in China in March 2020, with sales commencing in June of the same year. The vehicle received a five-star safety rating from the China New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) in September 2021. A facelifted version was introduced in February 2023, and the model entered the Russian market in the summer of 2023. The UNI-T competes with models like the Mazda CX-5, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
Under the hood, the UNI-T is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine delivering 132 kW (177 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,600 and 4,100 rpm. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The vehicle’s top speed is electronically limited to 204 km/h (127 mph), though this can be increased through chip tuning. In Russia, the UNI-T is priced between 2,869,900 and 2,969,900 rubles.
